Tuesday, October 10, 2017 5:45 pm - 8:00 pm
Location: 3440 S. Lee's Summit Rd, Independence, MO 64055
Description: SARE (Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education) is a program of the USDA. Every year, they offer competitive grants to farmers, researchers, graduate students, and community members involved in advancing sustainable agriculture in the U.S. and its territories.

The Farmer Rancher grant is offered to farmers or groups of farmers looking to fund projects on their farm. This workshop will delve into the expectations for applicants, how to write a strong proposal, and offer a first-hand account of the process from an area farmer who got the grant in 2015.
