2020 Volunteer of the Year

Cultivate KC would like to recognize our 2020 Volunteer of the Year:

Brandon Martin is a GIS Analyst and an avid disc golfer who first contacted us to become a volunteer in January of 2020. Throughout this season, he has by far been our most consistent and hard working volunteer. He showed up in all kinds of weather to move organic matter around the farm, often bringing several friends to help. He mixed potting soil, filled pots, organized orders, and hand delivered them for our plant sale. Through the Covid-19 restrictions, he came with his own tools and worked solo when almost no other volunteers came. He has also taken the lead caring for the quail each and every week.

It is not an exaggeration to say that Westport Commons Farm would not have functioned this season without his consistent, cheerful, and punctual help. THANK YOU, Brandon!
