Dotte Mobile Grocer is Back on the Road

Posted on February 8, 2024 by Alicia Alferman

Last November, the team at Cultivate KC relaunched the Dotte Mobile Grocer program with a three-month pilot at eight sites throughout Kansas City, KS. These sites include senior living centers, public housing sites, health clinics, and the Turner Rec center; click HERE for the full schedule of stops. You can also sign up for updates or follow “Dottie” on social media to be the first to know about new stops and additional product offerings.

Groceries on offer include grain products (bread, oatmeal, crackers, cereal, etc.), dairy (milk, cheese, butter, etc.) meat, fresh fruits and vegetables, canned fruits and vegetables, infant formula, and pantry staples like ketchup, peanut butter, and jam. When in season, the vehicle will be stocked with locally grown produce, purchased from participants and graduates of the New Roots farm training and business incubator program. Additionally, the team has set the goal of being able to accept SNAP and WIC as forms of payment by spring of 2024.

Whether you already live in KCK or have been looking for an excuse to explore, come visit Dottie and the team – Dylan and Jermaine – to purchase groceries and support the mission of increased food access in the Dotte.
