Envisioning a Collaborative Kansas City Foodshed

Cultivate KC is a member of the coordinating team for a regional food system assessment “Envisioning a Collaborative Kansas City Foodshed” led by KC Healthy Kids, funded through a two-year planning grant from the USDA Regional Food System Partnerships Program. Last week the team released the assessment report, which highlights key data insights organized around the Whole Measures for Community Food Systems framework. The assessment report provides a baseline for the regional foodshed and will inform a plan for collaborative action later this year.

As this work continues over the next few months, the project team will do a second round of focus groups in the eight priority counties to get community feedback on the assessment and direction as we move towards action planning. Learn more about the project and how you can get involved here.
