Resource Room
Step into the Resource Room to chat one-on-one with experts and local service providers who can advise and connect you with available programs, funding, or knowledge to help your farm thrive. You’ll meet local field staff from USDA agencies, tax professionals, Extension agents, fellow farmers, and more. We encourage you to come prepared with questions to ask these folks, so you can leave with specific action items and next steps for how to get involved and/or utilize these resources.

Seed and Supply Swap
Growing Growers KC is excited to host the first annual Seed & Supply Swap at the 2024 Annual Farmers & Friends Meeting! Do you have farm supplies or gear sitting around that aren’t getting enough use? Think an old pair of useful pruners, overalls that don’t fit anymore, a partial roll of row cover, unused landscape fabric, farming & gardening books, etc. Please bring your gently used and very useful items to AFFM!

If you have seeds to share, please bring them! If you don’t, please come and take seed from our amazing seed swap sponsors: First Seed Farm, Sereniseed, Groundwork NRG, Native Lands, and Sow Right Seed. *No invasive species plants or seeds please.

Hands-on Hangout
Stop by to participate in live, interactive demonstrations of DIY tools and learn about the science and power of healthy soil.

Collaboration Corner
Come by and connect with people who are working on collaborative projects to strengthen our urban agriculture community and local food system. This is a space to learn about projects and find ways to lend your voice to inform their work or get engaged with other like-minded growers.

… and don’t forget to visit the sponsor and partner tables in the entryway!

We encourage you to check out the list of the many partners in attendance and make a plan to take full advantage of the event. FIND ALL THE DETAILS AT THIS LINK: RESOURCE SHARING SESSIONS

The health of our community is at the forefront of our work, and we recognize the ongoing risk of transmission of Covid 19, influenza, and other illnesses. We encourage masking in crowded areas and have KN95 masks available at check-in. And as always, if you’re feeling under the weather or have tested postive for any illness, please remain at home. We want everyone to be safe and stay healthy.
