Agrivoltaics/Agrisolar Field Day at Prairie Birthday Farm

Prairie Birthday Farm is a small-scale family farm in Kearney, Missouri. They have an intensively diversified operation with an emphasis on land stewardship and resilient permaculture. In the last few years, they have also installed an agrivoltaics system. This system combines energy generation with food production, providing benefits for both systems.  Learn more about agrivoltaics here. 

This field day will include a tour from farm owner, Linda Hezel, with an emphasis on their newly installed agrivoltaics system. We will discuss agrivoltaics installation, set-up costs, and benefits. Good Energy Solutions, the co-designer and installer, will also be present to speak on engineering and material considerations.

Attendees should arrive by 8:45 and registration is required for admission. Parking very limited, carpooling recommended. Attendees will be walking a minimum of 1/4 mile on uneven surfaces. Closed-toed shoes, insect repellent, sunscreen, and water are all highly encouraged.
