Financial Management & Tax Prep Workshop with Moxie Tax Solutions

Cultivate KC & KC F.A.R.M.E.R.S. Coalition are excited to announce a free, in-person Financial Management & Tax Prep Workshop for growers with Moxie Tax Solutions!

Sarah Burnett Pierce of Moxie Tax Solutions will lead participants through a practical overview of how to organize your farm’s finances, prepare your farm taxes, and make informed financial decisions throughout the year. Snacks and drinks are provided!

What to expect from this workshop:

•  Summary of basic income and expense categories farms should track
• Opportunities to explore bookkeeping software options
• Walk through your Schedule F tax form
• Hands-on activities using tax forms relevant to your farm business
• Tips for managing payroll & contractor expenses
• Explanation of quarterly tax timelines and how to fit into a farming schedule
• Peer-to-peer discussion and sharing opportunities
• Time set aside for one-on-one support with a tax professional

Bring a charged laptop (if you have one), your 1040 and F-Schedule forms, and any other tax documents you think will be helpful for you.
