Growing Growers : Plant Propagation and Greenhouse Tour

It’s the first Growing Growers core workshop of the year!

Learn the basics of greenhouse design and get hands-on experience with sowing and transplanting vegetable crops. We’ll discuss the best management practices for growing your own warm- and cool- season transplants. We will also explore various aspects of greenhouse design including structure type, orientation, site preparation, heating and maintenance.

This workshop will be led by Mark Gawron, Program Manager at Cultivate KC, and Cary Rivard, Kansas State Extension Specialist & Director of the K-State Olathe Horticulture Research & Extension Center.

Free attendance for Growing Growers apprenticeship participants. $10 registration for general public – all proceeds go directly to Cultivate KC.
