Opportunities to Engage in Policy Issues that Impact Farmers

From the Farm Bill to local zoning, policy at every level impacts farmers’ access to land, resources, funding, and market opportunities. Join this virtual workshop co-hosted by KC Healthy Kids and Cultivate Kansas City to hear from federal, state, and local policy leaders about current and upcoming policy issues that will impact Kansas City area producers. We’ll also hear directly from producers about policies that have affected their farms and how they have engaged in advocacy efforts. The workshop will highlight opportunities to engage in current advocacy efforts, uplift organizations that are amplifying farmer voices in advocacy, and offer attendees a chance to put their advocacy skills to action. The workshop will be held online on Tuesday, October 11, from 2:30 – 4:30. Attendance is free, but registration is required.
