Cultivate KC offers a wide range of volunteer opportunities for groups and individuals, from working in the field, staffing events, to assisting in the office. We’d love to have your help!
Plan a work the farm day with your organization, company, church or friend group to experience a little of what it’s like to be an urban grower! Volunteer groups can be as small as 5 and as large as 30. Please submit the Volunteer Interest Form (below) to schedule a day on the farm to learn about growing and to get your hands dirty alongside our farm crew. We ask that you schedule your volunteer day a month in advance so we can plan an exciting and rewarding outing for your group.
Volunteer for Events
We appreciate volunteers for our major events, including our Annual Farmers & Friends Meeting, Dig In! farm-to-table dinner, Feast on the Field, and Boulevardia. Event volunteers mainly help with set up, registration and breakdown. Please indicate your interest in event volunteering in your Volunteer Interest Form below.
For individuals or groups with an interest in a long-term volunteer commitment to Cultivate KC during which they can commit a regular time weekly or monthly to one of our farm sites. Our farm managers will work with you to create a curriculum of tasks so that you can learn a variety of farming skills and techniques for soil conversion, planning, planting and harvesting.
