Jovan Brown Joins the New Roots Team
New Roots for Refugees has some new staff!
INTRODUCING the sultan of squash, the titan of tomatoes, the king of kale, the colossus of collards, Cultivate KC‘s New Roots Program Manager: Jovan Brown! He will be taking over project management at the Juniper Gardens Training Farm, and we are excited to have him aboard.
Jovan has been learning and practicing small-scale organic farming for the last 7 years, while homeschooling his four children. Previously, Jovan worked for 18 years in the telecom sector, in call center operations and project management. He always tries to make space in his weekends for rhythm skating and Latin dance.
