Dotte Mobile Grocer

The Dotte Mobile Grocer program expands access to affordable and fresh food in Wyandotte County. Our refrigerated mobile grocery store makes regular weekly stops throughout Northeast Wyandotte County selling reasonably priced produce, dairy staples, and shelf-stable grocery items to neighborhoods where such options are not abundantly available. SNAP payments ARE NOW ACCEPTED.

History of the Vehicle

In February of 2023, Cultivate KC entered a partnership with the community organization Dotte Local Grocer to operate the existing Dotte Mobile Grocer program. Since then, we’ve worked together to transfer operation of the program solely to Cultivate KC. The original vehicle, a retrofitted beer truck, was lovingly named Dottie. Dottie was retired in 2024, and this second, more nimble version of our grocery store on wheels has been dubbed “DJ”, short for Dottie Junior. If you see DJ out and about, give us a wave. Better yet – spread the word about our schedule and locations listed above!
