Senior Market Match program is Underway

Cultivate KC has launched their Senior Market Match program for the 2023 season! This program is a match incentive to the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP), a national nutrition incentive program provided by the USDA, and runs from June until the end of the year. 

Eligible seniors in Kansas and Missouri can apply for SFMNP through their dedicated agency, which are listed below. Once they have received their farmers market vouchers through the state, senior customers can pick up Cultivate KC’s Senior Market Match coupons at their local participating farmers’ market. 

Cultivate KC’s Senior Market Match coupons are available at 11 farmers markets across the Kansas City metro (see graphic below) and can be redeemed for fresh produce from any participating vendor at the market.  

Senior Market Match has steadily grown every year since its inception and last year over $10,500 worth of coupons were redeemed. This year we added Historic Downtown Liberty Farmers’ Market to the program and distributed more coupons than ever before! 

In partnership with Kansas City’s University of Missouri Extension office, Cultivate KC is hosting a sign-up event for seniors on July 25th, 2:30-4:00 pm, at our office, 300 E 39th St, KCMO.
