Dotte Mobile Grocer Adds Stops in KCMO
It’s farmers market season in Kansas City once again! People bustle from booth to booth, eyeing a bevy of vegetables, fruits, baked goods, crafts, and so much more from local growers and businesses. For the third year in a row, the 2026 KC Farmers Market Passport is your guide to everything local farmers markets have to offer!

No matter where you live or where you’re headed, the Passport guides you to 17 farmers markets and 6 farm stands across the Kansas City metro area. Every location has something unique to offer, from weekly offerings to special events. From booths set up around historic town squares to jazzy evenings on urban farms, there are so many ways to see how the local food system is thriving.
The launch event for the KC Farmers Market Passport took place on May 1 at Kansas City Community Gardens. It was a sunny day in a beautiful setting, full of smiles, good food, and speeches from elected officials and local luminaries. Check out KCUR’s coverage of the launch event for a closer look.
Here are a few words from Alana Henry, Executive Director of the Ivanhoe Neighborhood Center:
“I’m so proud of the KC Farmers Market Passport initiative and its success in connecting consumers to local growers and farmers markets here in greater KC. Kansas City has a flourishing local food system deserving of support and praise, and I am so honored that my dream of facilitating more engagement and connection with a people-first passport program is being realized. I continue to be humbled by those who have joined us in partnership to increase access to fresh, healthy foods and support the incredible local farms & markets driving KC’s food economy.”

Not only is the Passport great for customers who want to see more of Kansas City’s local food scene, it’s also much appreciated by the folks who run farmers markets. Here’s what a few of them have to say:
“At the market this weekend we had two people from other markets come to get their passport stamped at ours. Not only were they getting their passports stamped but they were very excited for the program. They said something to the effect of they have a blast going to the different markets and then when I told them they could win prizes it was even better. I also shared with them the story of the art and they loved it.”
-Claudia Giacone, Bonner Springs Farmers Market manager
“The KC Farmers Market Passport has created a real sense of community among local markets. It’s exciting to see markets supporting one another while encouraging shoppers to explore new neighborhoods, discover new vendors, and experience the incredible diversity of local food, products, and makers throughout Kansas City.”
-Nadine Moss, Ivanhoe Farmers Market manager
“…the KC Farmers Market Passport has been a great tool for me as a market manager to engage with people about their local food systems… The response has always been excitement and enthusiasm, so we are very grateful for this valuable tool that connects people to this awesome Kansas City food system.”
-Corien Shaw, KCK Farmers Market manager

“The Farmers Market Passport has been a great addition to the Lenexa Farmers Market! Patrons love learning about the different farmers markets throughout the area, and they especially appreciate having a passport that highlights each market and what it has to offer. The program has generated a lot of excitement and engagement among our shoppers. They even love the little vegetable stamps we use!”
-Hailey Tassone, Lenexa Farmers Market manager
