Urban Agriculture Tool Library

Cultivate KC’s Urban Agriculture Tool Library is open to urban farmers, community gardeners, and neighborhood residents to help access tools to grow good food in the city.

Location & Hours of Operation:

Westport Commons Farm at Plexpod Westport Commons
300 E. 39th Street, Kansas City, MO 64111
Enter the lower parking garage entrance on Warwick just north of 39th St. 

Check-outs and check-ins will be held every week from March 2 thru October 26 at the following times:

  • Monday from 3-5PM
  • Thursday from 9-11AM
In order to become a member, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:  

  1. Be at least 18 years old
  2. Download the Cultivate KC App to your mobile device
  3. Create an account with complete information
  4. Agree to the policies and procedures listed HERE
  5. Pay the annual membership fee of $60 ($5/month paid annually)  Thanks to generous funding from Hall Family Foundationall memberships are  currently FREE!
  6. No member of your farm or household may have overdue equipment 

The Urban Agriculture Tool Library, the building in which it will be housed, and the Cultivate KC App are made possible by generous support from Accenture, the Hall Family Foundation, MARC Solid Waste Management District, and a USDA Urban Agriculture and Innovation Production grant.


Need help downloading the app? Follow these steps:

Find the app in the Play Store or App Store, by searching for Cultivate KC.

Download the App and create your account by Accepting the Terms & Conditions and following the instructions. After creating an account, browse the available tools and reserve your choice for in-person pickup. Payment of the annual membership will occur at the time of your first tool pickup.
