After several years off, the Urban Grown Tour is back! This beloved event is an opportunity for the greater Kansas City community to visit their local neighborhood farms and gardens to learn about sustainable growing practices and connect with local growers. This year’s 14 site tour strengthens connections to the local food system. We welcome the community to hear stories, directly from growers, about the why they do what they do, what brings them joy, and what they see for the future of urban growing in Kansas City, all while highlighting their incredible work in sustainable agriculture and conservation.

This event invites Kansas City to get curious about where local food comes from, who grows it, and how a farm or garden can shape a community. With sites spread throughout the KC Metro, the Urban Grown Tour is an incredible opportunity for growers in both Kansas and Missouri to showcase their contributions to the Kansas City food scene. In the past, this event attracted over 2,000 attendees!
