Midtown Hoedown is a family friendly, farm-centered folk dance + so much more! This event is perfect for farming and food enthusiasts of ALL ages. The evening starts with kid-friendly tunes from Janie Next Door, and the centerpiece of the event is a gender inclusive folk dance with live string music by Ozarks-based Shortleaf and dance steps called by James Slaughter. The dances are all taught on the spot – no experience is necessary.
This year attendees will also enjoy carnival games, a small animal petting zoo, educational demonstrations, a pop-up springtime transplant sale, raffle prizes, and more. Food from Momma Flo’s, Victoria’ Mexican Food, and High Hopes Ice Cream will be available for purchase, and complementary beverages will be available for adults and kids. Western wear is highly encouraged – prizes will be awarded for best outfits!
Admission is $20, children 12 and under are free.
Tickets include admission to the dance, free kettle corn and beverages for adults and children.
