The 2026 KC Farmers Market Passport is Off and Running!
Cultivate KC is so excited to be extending grocery affordability and access to Kansas City, MO through our Dotte Mobile Grocer program! In partnership with Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center, DMG rolled into their Euclid Ave. site in early June offering low-cost pantry staples, dairy products, and farm fresh produce. The response from staff and clients was overwhelmingly positive. “Seeing the enthusiastic response from both staff and clients at Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center reinforces the importance of making affordable food available where people already receive trusted care and services. This collaboration is an exciting opportunity to expand our food access efforts while growing community partnerships,” remarked Lauren Weinberg, Cultivate KC’s Food Access program manager. CKC plans to serve both the Euclid Ave and Summit Street centers as the summer progresses.
L to R, Rory Kirk (Director of Outreach), Naty Cardenas (DMG Crew Member), Craig Stewart (Outreach Coordinator), Anne Harris (DMG Specialist), Lorena Dominguez (Outreach Community Health Worker)The opportunity to bring the Dotte Mobile Grocer program to Kansas City would not be possible without strong partnerships. Host sites, like Samuel U. Rodgers, are essential in not only providing the physical infrastructure needed to set up shop, but also in helping spread the word about the grocery program to clients and community members. We are also grateful for our partnership with New Roots, from whom much of the local produce sold through the mobile grocer is procured. Lastly, philanthropic support is central to addressing food access and affordability and we are honored to be supported by Ford Philanthropy, who recognizes the crucial role mobility plays in our programming.

Additionally, Ford Philanthropy is funding the purchase of a brand-new refrigerated Ford Transit Van that will support this DMG expansion later in the summer! Check the Dotte Mobile Grocer schedule for up-to-date information on upcoming stops.
